India and have signed a major defence deal under which Indonesia will purchase BrahMos missiles. The agreement was signed in Jakarta during the Indian Prime Minister's three-day visit to the South-East Asian country. Indonesia is the third country to agree to buy the missiles from India.

The International Olympic Committee has provisionally lifted its suspension of the Russian Olympic Committee, paving the way for Russian athletes to compete under their national flag at the 2028 Olympics. Following a ban imposed in 2022 after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, athletes from the country had participated in the 2024 Paris Olympics as independents.

The US Department of Justice has charged jailed Indian gangster Lawrence and his aide Goldy Brar with the killing of Sikh separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada. The DoJ has also arrested 24 individuals with alleged ties to at least three Indian criminal gangs. Canada first accused Indian officials of involvement in Nijjar's killing in September 2023.

The states of California, Colorado, Kentucky, and New Jersey have sought USD 1.4 trillion in penalties from Platforms ahead of a trial scheduled for August.
